Citrus is a global firm that was established in Singapore by Ian Grundy, specializing in public relations, positioning and strategic sponsorship.
We aim to provide comment and prompt conversation, ensuring that our clients get talked about by the right people at the right time.
Whether to the media or right to the consumer, we have a comprehensive understanding of traditional and new media communications. We're experienced enough to bring you great ideas that will help you grow and prosper, yet small enough to do what we do best: hands on public relations and sponsorship.
In June 2010, the Citrus PR Lifestyle Division was launched to focus on a portfolio of clients in the Singapore 'Lifestyle' market segment. This includes clients in the F&B, Retail (beauty and fashion) and Hospitality sectors. Headed by Account Manager, Rachel Raeburn, the Citrus PR Lifestyle Division will be supported by a dedicated team of PR professionals.
our work
Citrus PR has extensive experience with events, media liaison, sponsorship activation, brand activation and media training. Listed here are just a few examples of our work:
World Gourmet Summit 2010 & WGS Awards of Excellence
Citrus PR was appointed to direct and oversee all local and international media activities for the World Gourmet Summit 2010 (WGS), in addition to the WGS Awards Of Excellence. The international gastronomic extravaganza, which was held from 11 to 24th April 2010, brought together the world's top chefs and acclaimed vintners, while the awards platform recognised talent in the culinary industry in Singapore and throughout Asia Pacific. WGS is now in its 14th year.
Citrus PR developed a total of 11 press releases and directed all interviews and filming requests. Three press conferences were co-organised, one of which was for the world renowned chef, Ferran Adrià, of the critically acclaimed restaurant, El Bulli in Spain. The cumulative PR campaign resulted in a media value of over S$12 million.
Bosch CoolSpace and Built-In Range
Citrus PR was identified to manage the media launch for Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH's new Built-In Appliances and CoolSpace range of products - comprising cookers, hobs, refrigerators and other household kitchen appliances. Citrus PR was responsible for targeting media to attend the launch - held at The Arts House in Singapore - and managing all media related activities that followed. This involved preparation of all media kits and included technical specs writing and writing all the speeches for Bosch senior executives and for Singapore media personalities (The Flying Dutchman and Glenn Ong) who held master of ceremony responsibilities.
Adecco at the Singapore HR Summit
Adecco Singapore tasked Citrus PR with developing an interesting, relative and on-brand sponsorship involvement for HR Summit 2009 - Singapore's largest event for human resource professionals. Utilizing the company's global tagline of 'better work, better life', Citrus PR developed an event concept which focused on providing thought leadership tools for booth visitors. The 'better work' component included live interviews from the Adecco booth with prominent Summit speakers, along with the distribution of informative white papers - whilst the 'better life' aspect was represented by a 'wellness area' on the booth where wellness refreshments were available and hand reflexology was on offer. A white paper on 'Wellness In The Workplace' also provided detailed information about this important subject.
Sawadee.com Regatta, Samui 09
The Sawadee.com Regatta Organizing Committee selected Citrus PR as its exclusive public relations and communications partner in January 2009. Citrus was successful in securing this opportunity by its ability to offer traditional media support, coupled with modern networking web tools. The event - prior, during and post - was able to communicate with audiences through the use of film, blogging, social media and other Web 2.0 tools. This allowed the regatta's 'on' and 'off' water experiences to be communicated to a wider audience and to better engage those interested in following the regatta.
